Sheep Returns.
The results of the annual sheep returns, taken up to the 30th April last are as follows : — For Rangitikei county — 1,644 rams ; 92,145 wethers ; 249,878 breeding ewes ; 30,016 non-breeding ewes, 149,133 lambs — total, 526,816. Oroua County— 7,lß4 rams ; 80,055 wethers ; 807.776 breeding ewes; 24,807 non-breeding ewes ; 197,747 lambs— total, 617,559. Manawatu County -2,409 rams; 35,505 wethers ; 97,880 breeding ewes ; 25,046 non-breeding ewes ; 62,722 lambs. Total, 223,062. The increases for the year are : — Rangitikei County, 85,324; Oroua, 96,889; Manawatu, 962. Total, 133,175.
