Foxton Lawn Tennis Club.

The annual general meeting of the above club was held at the Masonic hall on Monday evening.

Twenty-eight members were present, and Mr Steele, one of the vice-presidents was voted to the

chair.

The minutes of the last general meeting were read and confirmed.

The annual report of the committee and balance-sheet were read and adopted.

The following officials were elected : — President, J. G. Wilson (re-elected) ; Vice-presidents, E. 8. Thynne and J. T. Steele (re— elected)-; oon, Secretary and Treasurer," W. Defmef "(re-elected) ;~Committee, G, Aitkens, W. T. Lifctlu, J. Hickson and J. Howard.

TJne following resolutions were agreed to : —

That rule 24 be amended by substituting.?" may " for " must."

That an asphalt court be constructed as detailed by the Secretary at a cost of not more than £20.

That if, after the construction of the asphalt court, the funds permit, a shed be erected.

That the point system of scoring be adopted by the club.

That a hearty vote of thanks be given, and recorded on the minutes,

to the retiring officers for the interest they have displayed throughout the year* special mention being made to the Honi Secretary; That a hearty vote of thanks be given to those ladies wlio supplied tea during the season.
