_ *_ The above Committee met at Otaki at noon on Thursday, 7th June. Preßenfc — Messrs Brabant, S.M. (chairman), Thynne, Williams, Gascoigne, Smith, Bennett, Stuckey, Harnett, and McCullock. Inspeotor Pender and the whole oi the police force were present. NEW APPLICATIONS. The following new applications were first heard : — Emily Susan Thomas applied for a license for the Jubilee Hotel at Otaki, and also to be allowed to carry on to 30th June. The: license and permisson was granted. Frank Le Manquais Garland ap- , applied for a license for the Levin Hotel, Levin. Mr Staveley appeared tor the applicant. The license was granted. David Laing applied for a linoense for the Junction Hotel, Sanson. Mr Sandilands appeared for the applicant. The license was granted subject to the conditions that all necessary rgc^irs arid improvements as indi\SKd by the report be carried out before the' 30th June, 1894, to the satisfaction of the Inspector. Emma Broadbent applied for a license for the Wellington and ; Manawatu Club Hotel, Shannon. Mr" Wallace appeared for the applicant. License granted subject to the conditions that all necessary repairs and improvements as indicated by the report be carried out before 30th June, 1894, to the satisfaction of the Inspector. Thomson rVipond Proctor applied for a license for the Central Hotel, Otaki. • Mr Franklin appeared for the applicant. The license was granted. John Drummond Pinkerfcon applied for a license for the Pahautanui Hotel, Pahautanui. Mr Ward appeared for the applioant, License granted. John Gettes Campbell applied for a license for the Manakau Hotel, Manakau. Mr Staveley appeared for tbe applicant. The license was granted subject to tbe conditions that a urinal be be erected to the satisfaction of the Inspector before 30th June. James Gardner Mitchell applied for a license for the Post Office Hotelr^flxfon. The license was granted subject to the condition that all necessary repairs and improvements as indicated by tbe report be carried out before 80th June, 1894, to the satisfaction of the Inspector. Charles Arthur Harrison applied for a license for the Manawatu Hotel. Mr Ray appeared for the applicant. License granted subject to the eondtftbti that the licensee keep propfir- stabling and carry out the improvements indicated in the re . port Jo the satisfaction of the Inspectftg'Vefore 81st July. William Dickson applied for a license for the Telegraph Hotel, Otaki. License granted subject to the Condition that the house be put into sound an^d safe condition to the approval of the Inspeotor and Committed withiii six months. Applicant subsequently requested an adjournment, and the case is adjourned to 15th June.
