Wellington Education Board.
The monthly meeting of the above Board was held on Wednesday. Present— Messrs J. H. Blair (ohaifman), F. H. Fraser, W. A. Fitzherbert, J. Youag, W. C. Buchanan, M.H.R., Rev. J. Paterson. Business affecting this coast; was as follows : — An application from Mr A. Taylor, that his daughter might be allowed to transfer her scholarship to Wanganui, was granted. ' "'<.« The Manakau Committee wrote denying that they had resigned in/a body, and stated that they approved ot the teacher's action. - '''~T The Levin Committee wrote Btatiag that they wanted additional seftfcfag accommodation in the school* She matter was ordered to stand over iQr the present, as a number of seats have been sent up there. The Board was notified of the appointment of Mr W. H. Clark a3 pupil teacher at Otaki. The Board decided to inform the Committee there that Mr Clark must apply in regular form to the Board for the engagement. , , The carpenter was instructed to report as to the necessity for- repairs at Paraparaumu, and on a re<ju«st for a close boarded fence at Pahautanui. The report of the Committee which enquired into the recent digputes at Pahiatua recommended that Mr C. Lee (head master) and Miss Rees (assistant) should teceive three months' notice. The report was adopted.
