Foreign Beer in Berlin.

The consumption of foreign beer in Berlin despite the enormous beer palaces erected within the past few years in the German capital, is far less than is generally supposed. Berlin itself produced in 1892-98, 2,865,000 hectolitres ; the quantity imported was only 269,000 hectolitres. The largest Berlin brewery alone produced 425,000 hectolitres — v c., 160,000 hectolitres more than the whole quantity imported.
