Monday, 19^h March. The first mutch of the secmd round in the Gentlemen's Singles was played by Mr Little and Mr McCrea, the former proving victorious afcer a very hard fight. In the first set both m j n were nervous and did not play up to form, especially MuCrea who consequently suffer, d d<-fi j at. The second set was a sur prise Mr McCiva completely running away from Mr Little, and beating him by 6 games to 1. As everyone anticipated the third set was very close, Mr Little only winning on the list stroke. he rallies were at times very prolonged, th« ball crossing the n^t on one occasion ten (10) times.
