Thursday, March Ist. The final match of the first round of the men's singles was played between Mr 0. Robinson and Mr Rhodes, when the former scored an easy victory, Mr Rhodes being greatly out of form. Below are the results of the drawings :— Gentlemen's Singles. Mr Howard, £ 15, plays Mr Bridge, *80. Mr Little, \ 20, plays Mr McCrea, 80 x bisque. Mr Robinson, scr., plays Mr Morse, 15 x bisque. Ladies Singles. Miss Purcell, £ 80 x 2 bisques, plays Miss H. Burr, £ 15. Mrs Dermev, 15, bye.
