A Singular Seizure.
-♦ : • A seizure' was effected the other day at the Galte Theatre in Paris where four trained lions figure in the performance of the " Bicyclistes en Voyage." The lion-tamer not having financially satisfied the master of the cage, the latter managed **: to obtain a legal warrant against him, and caused both cage ancl lions to be seized by the sheriff. So far, so good, but where to find a. keeper of .' 'the live' portion of the seized chattels, when even the director of Jardin des Planfces declined the temporary responsibility? At last the lion-tamer, the defendant, himself came forward, and fche Court no choice but to accept him as guardian of his disputed property.
