The Otaki Election.

Until we get the authoritative result from the Returning Officer we cannot explain the difference in the totals published by us and by the N.Z. Times. We had each booth with the numbers recorded telegraphed to us on Tuesday night and had the same checked on Wednesday morning. Our totals give Mr Wilson a majority of 99 but the Times give the totals as Wilson 1837 and Fraser 1188 thus giving Wilson a majority of 199.
