The Auieer of Afghanistan has informed his army that a settlement of the frontier question and all differences with the Governor -General of India have been concluded. Ho alluded in warm terms to the friendly relations established with the British. The nature of the settlement has not been published, but it is reported that it is satisfactory to the Indian residents, The house occupied by the commander of the troops in Marseilles has been much damaged by the explosion of a dynamite bomb. Forty arrests have been made in connection with the explosion, though it is believed to be the work of a malcontent soldier. King Lobengula's impi are situated 20 miles north of Buluwayo, and Major Adams has sent a mounted patrol to endeavour to arrange the terms of peace. Major Forbes, who commanded one of the columns against King Lobengula, has been gazetted High Commissioner of -Buluwayo.
