♦ . France has 225 electrics light stations, of which 209 use continuous, thirty use alternating, and seven use continuous and alternating currents oombined. In accordance with an Act passed by the Canadian Legislature all persons under 17 years are forbidden to be in the streets of certain towns and villages after 9 o'clock at night. The Tower Bridge, London, is rapidly approaching completion. The height from the bottom of the foundations to the top of the towers of this gigantic structure is about 800 ft. The length of the bridge is half a mile. Amateur Tenor : Did you hear me sing last night ? — Frankman : No. The fact is I got in the jam at the door and couldn't.— A.T. (pleased) : What !
