Gorton & Son's Stock Rkport. Bulls, 2nd October. In spite of the exceptionally severe weather on Friday, we held a sucoessful sale at Feilding selling all the sheep excepting 2 small pens of ewes and lambs, and a good many pens of cattle. We had to turn out some empty cows, the demand for that class not being so active as of late. At the sale of Mr Peter Stewart's the following day we quitted a good deal of stock a portion was passed in not reaching his reserve. Our quotations are : — FEUjDINtt. Cattle.— Fat bullocks, £1 10s; fat oows, £5 10s ; cows in calf, £4 ; 8 yrs heifers, £0 5s ; 18 months to 2 yrs heifers, £2 14s Gd ; U yrs heifers, £8 18s Gd ; 1 yr steers, £2 17s 6d ; mixed yearlings, £2 11s 6d ; weaners, 2 yrs, 80s; 8 yr steers, £4 15s. Sheep— Fat wethers, 13s Gd ; fat ewes, 12s ; store wethers 12 ; hoggets from 9s lOd to J Is lOd. Mr P. Stewart's. Cattle— 2* yrs steers, £8 16s; 2£ yrs heifers, £8 10s ; 15 months heifers, £2 6s. Sheep— Ewes with lambs, 14s ; ewe hoggets, 12s 4d ; wether hoggets and wethers, 12s 6d ; ram hoggets, 21s.
