Foxton Crioket Club.

Tbe annual meeting of. th _v foxton Cricket Club was held ofl Wednesday evening afc Border's Family' ''Hotel, Mr W. S. Stewart in the chair. The report and balance-sheet, prepared by the Secretary, Mr H. Bradcock, and duly audited by Mr Redmond, showed the club to be in a sound financial position. The foUowing officers were elected for the coming season : — President;, Waiter G. Robinson, esquire ; Vice-Presidents, Messrs J. R. McMillan and A. E. T. Nixon ; Captain, Mr J. Dudson ; Vice-Captain, Mr W. Ingram ; Secretary, Mr W. S. Stewart ; Treasurer Mr H Bradcock ; Committee, Messrs J. Dudson, T. Redmond, W.lngram, J. Howard, W. Hinchliffe, J. Kruise, and H. Bridge. Tuesdays and Saturdays were fixed on as the practice days for the club. The opening match oi the season will be played on Tuesday afternoon,, play to commence at 2 80., in Whyte's paddock, the use of which has been kindly granted by Mr Stansell. All players are requested to roll up in numbers and help to make the occasion an augury of a successful season. Cricket clubs are springing up all around — Shannon, Kereru, Levin, Carnarvon, Sandon.
