RANGITIKEI RACING CLUB.
The above Club's first Spring Meeting was held at Bulls yesterday. The weather was all that could be desired, ths raciug excellent, and the attendance large. The following are the results : - Flying - Ua, 1; Fraternite and Banner dead heat for second place. Won by a head. Also started, Boulanger, Swivel, Scot Free, t-t. Laura, Sunbeam, Pinrose, Poinsettia, and Kent. Dividend, £4 10s ; time, lmin 21sec. Hack Flying—Welcome Nat, 1; Ealmea, 2; Hippodamia, 8. Also started, Bloomsbnry, Sweet Dream, Pihanga, Luna, Laitiere, and Mona's Isle. Time, lmin 24scc ; dividend, £9 4.5. Hurdles Hiaraoe and Auckland, dead heat; Oaklands, 8. .Also started, Unity, Raven, Glenelg, and Union Jack. Unity and Union .lack fell when leading. Time, <3min 7 2-r>th sec. Dividends — Hiamoe, £19 s*, Auckland. £l 18s. \ protest was entered by the owner of Oaklands, but after a lengthy hearing was dismissed. in the run off a slashing race eimied and another exciting finish took place, both horses keeping neck and neck until the post was readied, the verdict being Auckland by a head. Handicap Hack Hurdles, H miles.—Belln 1, Nana'iia 2, Elk if. Also started—Lonely, Maunganoho, Cmiskeen, Referee, Kaffir, Spraydon. Time, 3min 1 2 sth sec. Dividend, £5 ss. Spring Handicap, 1£ miles. — Rangiatea 1, Rosefeldt 2, Musket 8. Also started—Scot Free, Fraternite, Ua, Cordelia, Poinsettia, Kiriwai, Gun Cotton. Time, 2min 17sec. Dividend, £9 12s. Handicap Hack Flat, 1 mile. — Welcome Nao 1, Belle 2, Sweet Dream 8. Also started — Eve, Sunday School, Luna, Laitere and Maunganoho. Time, lmin 51 4-sth sec. Dividend £2 18s. Final Handicap, 1 mile l—Cordelial—Cordelia 1. Banner 2, Rosefeldt 8. Also started—Boulanger, Sunbeam, Gun Cotton, Kent, Pinrosej St Laura. Time, lmin 503ec. Dividend, £18 12s.
