Tea and Concert.
To-night the members of All Saints' Church hold a ted, and COticert at the Public Hall, to which all are invited. The ladies who preside over the tea tables - are a sufficient guarantee that an excellent meal will be provided, at which most toothsome sweats will be found, and for which the charge"' made is only reasonable without taking into consideration the concert afterwards. The concert will introduce some new performers to the Foxton public. Mrs Aitkens and Miss Steele furnish the first overture. Miss Falcolner sings a solo, and takes part in a trio, Messrs Laidley and Wallace, from Shannon, kindly give their assistance, besides our residents Meadames Denner and Mitchell, and the Misses Burr and Williams, and Messrs Ennis, Burr, Little, and Young. Mrs W. Stewart, whose capacity for arranging tableaux is now wellknown here, superintends four exceedingly pretty groups throughout the evening. All this for one shilling and sixpence ! Could the most exacting want more ? As the members have done all they can to deserve success we only hope that the efforts will meet with it, and that to-night the hall will witness the biggest house that it has ever held.
