HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES. Wednesday, September 20. The Speaker took the chair at 2 30 p.m. The following Bills were read a first time : — Hawera Borough Council Empowering Bill; Government Life Insurance Acts Amendment Bill ; Electoral Law Amendment Bill.
The JJoverhmeiit Bailways Bill \Vad committed and passed through with a division on nearly every clause. The Premier moved the third reading but objection having been raised it could not be p"itt. The Hrius'e adjourned at 3-45 a.m. Thursday, September 21. The Speaker took the chair at 2.30 p.m. A debate took place on the third reading of the Railway Bill, which was carried by 84 votes to 80. A debate was taken on Colonel Fox's report and adjourned. The House adjourned at 2.10 a.m.
