Notes and Events.
The Pacific Islanders are a happy people, and proud should be the British Resident. Once a year do we receive some very interesting parliamentary papers from his pen. He asserts that of the permanence of the Federation there is no room now to entertain a reasonable doubt. Members of Parliament have returned to their homes proud of their position, and able to explain their proceedings thoroughly to their people. Would we could say the aame of our members of Parliament. If they attempt to explain their proceedings thoroughly they will have to feel proud to stay at home for the future.
