Wirikino Road Board.
The above board met at Levin on Saturday and the following resolu* tions were agreed to : — That Mr McDonald be granted permission to fall the road line <..._ between sections 14 and 13, block 2, S.D. Waiopehu, on the usual terms. That the third of the money paid by Mr Ingram in purchasing section 23, Levin, be applied for by the Clerk. That Mr Jan. Rose have permission to fall Essex street, Levin township, at the usual rate of 803 per acre on the usual terms. That the Chairman of the Wirokino Highways Board notify Mr G. H. Wood that he is willing to di&cuss this matter of the Okoura Creek at Shannon on Saturday, August 26th, and would suggest that Mr Wood ask Mr Hawkins to be present in his interest. That the Clerk inform Messrs Henshaw and Crespin that the Board do not see their way to c.miply with their request redeviation of road to their sections. That our engineer be instructed to prepare an estimate of the cost of metalling the Kingston road, and have it ready for next Board meet, ing. That Ganger Lyons be instructed to proceed with the erection of a bridge over the Otawia creek on Nathor terrace at the junction of sections 320 and 821 Shannon township, cost not to exceed £20. That the Ganger be instructed to attend to the complaint of Mr Henry Andrews ro repairs on the Heuhinoka road east, also to ereot new bridge on the Eaikiwi road. That Mr Scott be requested to furnish an estimate in sections of the cost of formation of the Ohau west road and for metalling same. That in consequence of the resignation of the Clerk applications be invited to be in at the next meeting from those willing to act as clerk, collector, and treasurer. The specications of the duties to be performed to be those used previously. That the Chairman interview the Land Commissioner re continuation of Arapapae road through native land on the south side of Levin block. That the Shannon Recreation Be* serve Committee be allowed to fall the road lines adjoining the reserve at a cost not exceeding 80s per acre.
