• . HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES. Friday, August 11. The Speaker took the chair at 2 30 p m. The Education Act Amendment Bill No 2, was introduced and read a first time. On the motion of Sir John Hall, it was resolved that the Privilege Committee to which had heen referred the correspondence of the Legislative officers, should consist of twelve members, as folows :— The Speaker, the Premier, Sir R. Stout, the Hon W. Rolleston, Messrs Guinness, G. Hutchison, W. Hutchison, Captain Russell, Messrs R. Thompson, T. Thompson, and the mover, five to be a quorum ; the committee to have power to call for persona and papers The third reading of the Electoral Bill was, after a long debate, agreed to. The Workmen's Wages Bill, the Salu of Poisons Bill, and the Arsenic and (he Cyanide of Potassium Importation and Carriage Bill, were read a second time. The House adjourned at 12.85 p m.
