According to the report of the | Department of Labour there were employed in the Auckland Provincial district in flaxmilling 122 males under 20 years of age and 100 over 20, or in all 215 persons. In Wanganui there were 68 under 20 years and 135 over 20, in all 198 persons. In the Wellington Provincial District there were 182 under 20 years and 368 over 20, in all 500 persons.
