The Senate has refused to accept the resignation of the Prefect of Police. Although the students are quiet the mob continued the riot, and last night the police were desperately attacked and one officer was shot. Fifty thousand troops are stationed in Paris. There have been floods in China and 10,000 people have been drowned.
