The members of the Foxfcon Lawn Tennis Olub are playing a series of matches for a trophy. The first heat was finished in the early part of the week aud resulted as follows : — Mrs Stewart and Mi* Potter beat Miss C. Symons and Mr B. Gower by 6 games to 3. Miss E. Symons and Mr Curtis beat Miss Williams and Mr Howard by 6 games to 5. Miss J. Whyte and Mr Aifckens beat Miss Ballantine and Mr Steele by G games to nothing. The drawings for the second heat are as follows : — Miss E Symons and Mr Curtis play Miss Burr and Mr Cowles. Miss J. Whyte and Mr Aitkens play Miss Symons and Dr Dernier. Mrs Stewart and Mr Potter have a bye. ,On Thursday afternoon the first heat of the above series of games was played resulting in a win for Miss E. Symons and Mr Curtis by 6 games to 8.
