Sports Committee.

A meeting of t.he Athletic , Spqrts Commifcfcpe was held at, Mi:,. -Border's hotel last night. the second prize was . given to Benjamin who was third. The Hop, Step, and Jump contest was settled by placing Coleman first and Troy second. A vote of two guineas each was passed to Messrs Hedmond and Williams for the services they had rendered to secure a memento of the meeting. All accounts were passed for payment. It was decided to hold the children's sports on the first Tues- . day afternoon after the breaking up for the winter holidays. . (This will be the 20th of June.) It was remarked at the meeting how popular these Sports had become, and what good men gladly competed, as there were present Leslie the champion walker, and King the champion sprint runner of this colony and of Australia.
