Mr Richmond said the Law Society had been led to take action by reason of the fact that Matthews had received a sum of £40 from a client in order that he might apply it to a certain purpose. It was not so ap plied, but appropriated to the solicitor's own Use. There did not, howdvei'j appear to have been any intentidri to appropriate the money at the fciihe it was received* Mr justice Richmond in delivering judgment; said the Court was of dpii-ioU that the proper course to to take was to order this solicitor to be struck off the roll with leave to him to move to be reinstated after the lapse of two years from the date of the order. Order made accordingly together With an order for £7 7s costs, the latter order being made, flot with the view of being enforced at present, but that payment of these costs should be a condition precedent to reinstatement— 2jW. .
