Sports Meeting.
— : — ~h^ — > — Last night there « a very goofl meeting of the Sports C'oßMnittee held at the Eoxton Family boteL Mr Border occupied the chair. The* programme was fully discussed and ail excellent one framed, which appears in our advertising columns to-day. Eighteen events have been provided and it was determined to devote a few pounds in the fwrehase of prizes for races for children, to be got up on the ground in addition to those on the programme, the committee recognising that a large number of youngsters are likely to accompany their parents to the course and it was well to keep them amused. The meeting ii thus well | worthy of everyone's support and a large attendance may be looked for. The Secretary, Mi 1 Eedmond, reported that Mr J. G. Wilson had accepted the office of President and had enclosed a cheque for £1 as a subscription towards the funds. Posters will be sent away tomorrow to the neighbouring townships aud the Secretary will gladly flnpp'7 any further' information needed. ,
