Foxton Racing Club.
A meeting of the committee of the above Club was held at their office last evening. Present— Messrs W. 13. Bhodes, T. P. Williams, J. H. Kobiuson, R. Cawston, Walter Robinson, and J. R. McMillan. Mr Rhodes was voted to the chair. The minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed. Accounts to the sum of £402 10s were passed for payment. It was resolved to expend a sum of £15 in tree planting. It was resolved that the Sports Committee be allo'wed the use of the course on the 24th of May. No saddle horses to be allowed on the course. It was resolved that the Committee report at next meeting on the de\ sirability of spreading clay on the: sandy portions of the course. The honorary Secretary mentioned that the probable profit on the meeting would amount to £100, and thus the Club's financial position may be termed excellent, they having a previous credit balance, which will give a total of over £200, after paying for all improvements made.
