The Tutaekara Mystery.
The hearing of the case in which William Joseph Smith was charged with the wiltul murder of his mate Jacob Jacobsen, at Tutaekara, in November, 1890, was continued in the Magistrate's Court at Pahiatua on Friday, before Mr 0. C. Graham, R.M. " At the conclusion of the case for the prosecution, His Worship said he did not think there was sufficient evidence to send the case for trial. The information was dismissed, and the prisoner was discharged. Mr Gully said it was not his intention to proceed with the charge of larceny. Smith thtn UU the Court.
