- » The Minister for Lands has aedepM;e(i\tendefd aggregating about £6000 for grazing on 85,000 acres ot 'the' tfest land in the Cheviot Estate for six months and for the balande for It months, possession to be given on the land being handed over to the Government on 18th inst. Tenders for grazing rights on the Cheviot Estate have been accepted as follows J— The Wart Block, W. T. Bobinson, £1282* Tormare Block, W. Acton Adams, £1210; Tenmore Block, W. B. Clarkson, £955; Seaward Block, W. Grant, £662 (each for 11 months) ; East Waiau, 0. F. Todhunter, £441; Hururiui, W. B. Clarkson, £400 (the latter -three for six months). For fort Hills and the Homestead blocks no teiittet 1 was received. Fresh tenders are being invited as for one block.
