A caucus of the Conservative Party has determined to obstruct the Government Bills. In the House of Commons, Sir H. Meysey Thompson, member for Handsworth, moved a resolution in favour of bi-metallism Mr E. .W. Beckett, member for Whitley, moved a negative amendment, which was carried by 229 to 148.
