Our yawls were filled at Palmerston on Thursday with cattle and sheep, far more coming forward than was advertised. We had a dull sale partly owing to the faot that the lines were not sufficiently advertised, and partly on account of the high reserves placed on Rome of the lines. 1- oily half the stock were turned out unsold. We quote :— Cattle. Store bullocks, £"> 6s ; 2-year Bteers, £4 Is ; cows, £8 8s ; springing heifevs, £4 10s ; yearling steers, £2 Bs. Sheep Full-mouth ewes, Ds3d to 8s 4d ; 2 tooth ewes, 12s; wethers, 10s 2d ; mi ed woolly lambs, 6s to Cs 2d ; cull do., Is lid ; shorn mixed lambs, 5s Id. Stud Romney ewea, bought by Mr J. O. Batchelar, U guineas ; 2 tooth Lincoln rams, 1 to 1£ guineas ; old rams, 5s to 17s 6d.
