The Queen of Hawaii has appealed to Mr Cleveland to prevent the annex-, ation of the islands by the United States. The death is announced of General Beanregard, the prominent Confederate soldier. The ferment is subsiding since the Khedive has shown a desire to maintain order. Princes 3 Kainlani, niece of the Queen of Hawaii, has appealed to the American people, protesting against being deprived of the right of succession to the Crown.
