MANAWATU REGATTA.

A meeting of those interested in the above was held at Whyte's Hotel last night. There were fifteen present, and Mr Stansell was voted to the chair. It was unanimously resolved to hold the Regatta as usual on the 17th ot March. Th* following gentlemen were elected as a committee to work up thy affair : — Messrs Bradcock, J. Dudson, W. For.-ter, Geo. Gray, Hamer, Howan and T. Nye. Mr Cowles was re-elected Secretary to the committee. The committee were instructed to draw up a programme and present at another public meeting. A subscription list was opened in the room aud £5 lGs was promised. A vote of thanks to the chair closed the proceedings.
