For the sculling races for Hunter's Cnp this afternoon the following heats have been drawn : — Ist heat, 5 p.m.- Jas. Symons v. Murray Thompson. 2nd heat, 5.20 p.m.— Howan v. T. Nye. / All these competitors stare from scratch. Tips foe Hunter's Cup by " Kowhai " Ist. heat. — Symona v. Thompson. For this race I fancy Thompson, as Symons is not in his usual form. 2nd heat. —Nye v. Howan. This should be a good race as both men have been working, 1 tip Howan to win by one leng h. For the fiual I expect to see Thompson row home a few lengths ahead.
