Robinson, 12yds, 1 ; 0. Gardner, scr 2 ; Benjamin, 3 Three legged Race, Ist prize, 15s, 2nd prize, ss. 0. Gardiner and James Wylie 1 ; E. James and P Robinson 2. This resulted in a dead heat which was run off with the above result. Egg and-spoon Bace, Ist prize, ss, 2nd prize 2s 6d. H. Mahelan 1 : Benjamin 2; 0. Gardiner 3. This was a very exciting race, owing to the spoons being so small. Long Jmnp Ist prize 10s, 2nd prize ss. Oswald Gardner l7ft, 1 ; F. Robinson 15ft 7in 2 Wrestling Competition. Mr Mahelan succeeded in throwing ]\li* D. Sullivan twice out of three (Cumberland style). Potato Race, 20 potatoes 2yds apart, Ist prize, 7s 6d, 2nd prize '2s 6(1, 3rd prize pipe. James Wylie 1 ; H. Beauchamp 2 ; P. Robinson 3. Boys Race, Ist prize 3s, 2nd 2s. Lindley Gardner 1 ; G. Harrison 2 ; R. Gardner 8. Tug-of-War. This proved the most exciting event of the day Messrs Olson and Cowan as Captains picking the teams, the latter how- $ ever proved victorious after a long struggle. . ...--, : „ Swimming Race, distance across the river, Ist prize 10s, 2nd prize ss.
