The Kachins are raiding British territory. Lieutenant Bent and a small detachment were cut off by the3e marauders and killed.
Captain Youngh ii3band has reached the Yasim frontier. Colonel Yanoff is reported to have returned to St. Petersburg, leaving a garrison in the Pamirs.
The Chins were deteated by the garrison at Fort White. England, Austria and Italy have remonstrated with M. Stambuloff in regard to Prince Ferdinand's proposed alterations in the Constitution, urging that the change which is suggested will jeopardise the peace of Europe. The French have raised the blockade of Dahomey.
