A Curious Discovery.

A peculiar find has been made at Ngahauranga by a resident of that locality A rata stump, more than ten feet in cireuuiference, which must have belonged to a tree more than a hundred years old, situated on the apex of a pinnacle of rock had been grubbed up for firewood purposes. On the stump being removed a hollow place in the rock was disclosed, and in the cavity lay a considerable portion of the skeleton of a man. The jawbone had in it a full set of teeth, which were in a good state of preservation.
