Bulls, Nov, 16, 1892. Messrs Gorton & Son report : — The entries afc onr Awahuri sale yesterday were smaller than usual bufc still they were fair of cattle and sheep. The bidding for cattle was exceedingly spirited, and they realised excellent prices. We sold all at the sale and after excepting 3 milkers. We also sold all the sheep excepting the fafc shorn. Our quotations are — Cattle— Fafc cows, £5 10s to £6 ; fafc heifers, £4 9s ; 3-yr steers, £5 ; mixed yearlings, £2 6s ; 18 month steers, £2 17s 6d fco £2 19s 6d ; weaners mixed, 38s. SHEEP--Ewes wifch lambs, lis 6d to 15s 9d ; shorn 2-toofch wethers, 9s lOd. 18th November 1892. We held a most successful sale afc Hunterville yesterday. More cattle came lorward than were advertised, bufc unfortunately through the wethers breaking out of the paddock adjoining the ow . flock two nights ago, thoy would not he brought to the sale, which was a disappointment many buyers having come for them. The attendance was good, bidding most spirited and every head of cattle and sheep were sold at satisfactory rates, being as follows : - Cattle— Fafc bullocks £7 7s to £8 ; fafc cows, £4 10s to £5 5s ; 3-yr steers, £4 7s to £4 lis 6d ; 18 month steers, £3 2s fco £4 4s 6d : 18 months heifers, £2 17s Gd ; to £3 ls ; mixed year lings, £2 13s ; milkers various prices from £5 5s to £7. Sheep — Ewes with lambs 143 7d.
