An extraordinary general meeting of the shareholders of the United Farmers' Alliance was held on Wed- ' nesday in . the. , Occidental Hotel, Palrnerstoh North, when the special j resolutions passed at the meeting
held on the 11th nit., removing the registered office from Marton to Wellington, and making other alterations, in the articles, "were confirmed. A. meeting of the directors was subsequently held. Mr G. S. Bridge, Waverley, was elected a director in the. place of Mr . Alexander A-llison, resigned. The directors have had under consideration' for some time the advisableness of starting an auctioneers' and commission business in connection with the company, for the disposal of the shareholders' stock, .and at the meeting .jest^r^ay, It was resolved to erect yards in the principal towns along the coast, and engage the services ot Mr B. B. M'Kenzie, of Carnarvon, as auction^ eer. Operations will , commence immediately. A number of share* were allotted.— Post.
