A Horrible Crime.
A man named Makin and his wife' have been arrested on suspicion of having caused the death; of seven infants, whose bodies were found buried in the back yard of their premises at Macdonald Town, a suburban municipal district, situated between Newton and Alexandria, about two miles south of Melbourne. Warrants have, also been issued for the arresfc of the two daughters of the accused on a charge of participain the crime ; they have since been arrested. The bodies have apparently been buried for two months. The Makin case promises to be one of the most sensational babyfarming cases ever unearthed in the colony. The police have discovered the parents of one of the murdered children. The police are excavating the premises previously occupied by the Makins. The ages, of the children whose bodies have been discovered range from two weeks to six months.
