— — > , .--. Messrs Gorton and Son report : — Large entries of cattle and sheep came forward at our Sandon sale yesterday, the latter being exceptionally good class. The attendance was good, and the bidding spirited. We had the pleasure of realising jfor an excellent line of woolly Aether hoggets, bred by Mr J. H. Speedy, iss 2d. We cleared every pen of battle excepting one* and all lined of " sheop excepting two small pens. Onr quotations are : — Cattle.— Fat mixed beef, £' 5 ;8a 6il; forward and fat cows, : £i 2s *to £5 10s fid ; 2£-year steers, £8 7s to £8 1(is; 3 year heifers, springing, £4 13s to £5 9s ; milkers, £5 to £6 6s Od ; 18-months mixed cattle, .£2 13s ; yearlings mixed, 83s to £2 4s. rtli«ep. — lloggets, various ' price's from 10s 9d to 15s 2d ; ewes and lambs, various prices from 18s 7d to 14.s Od ; shorn fit ewes, 10s 3d to iis. • •■•■••;
