The Presidential Election.
♦ . Immense sums ot money have been subscribed in New York for the Presidential election. Major McKinley declares that the exports for the year are the largest within the history of America, and that the result has thoroughly astonished the critics of the new tariff. The Democrats expect that in the election for President, Grover Cleveland will have a majority of eight, but the supporters of President Harrison are very sanguine, and there is heavy wagering on his being returned.
