Owing to counter attractions, the Temperance meeting in the Hall on Thursday evening was not so well attended as -was expected The dosing meeting of the Wesleyan Mission-Week drew away a large number of the fviend3 of temperance. However, Mr Glover addressed the sixty present with as much energy and power as if they had been a thousand, and the vexed question of Prohibition is now "as clear as mud." That is not exactly what we ment to say, but it may stand. We are safe in saying this, however, that in the opinion of the temperance people Mr Glover is one of the best, if not the best, of the Temperance, lecturers who havo visited this town, and he will have a cordial welcome and a full house when he favours the district with a return visit.
