Foxton Racing Club.

Last night the Committee of the above Club met and considered the programme for January. There were present -Messrs Stansell (in the chair), Rhodes, Ahem, J. Robinson, W. Robinson, F. Young and J. R. McMillan (hon sec ) The minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed, and sundry accounts passed for payment. Mr Little was elected Olerk of the Scales and Mr F. Young Clerk of the Course. It was decided that a Local Race be placed on the programme open to all horses the bona fide property of owners residing within a radius of eight miles of the Foxton post office, and tha* horses be owned at least three months previous to the nominations. The race to be for horses that have never won an advertised race up to time of nomination. Weight for age. Distance one mile. The prize to be £20. Tho programme for the hack mooting was then passed, and comprises the following races : — Flying • handicap § mile, 35 soys ; Maiden hurdles, a mile and a distance, 25 soys ; Handicap hurdles, a mile and a half, 40 soys ; Foxton handicap, a mile and a half, 100 soys ; Electric handicap, half a mile 25 soys; Stewards handicap, a mile and a quarter, 40 boys; Local race, one mile, 20 soys.
