Tenders are invited by Messrs Thompson &Co , of Paiaka mill for the delivery of green flax. We had the pleasure of seeing, in the Messrs c trang's garden, a tulip tree out in full flower. The flowers are some six inches in length, after the shape of the garden tulip, having many shades of purple edging off to close on white. It is a handsome shrub for any garden and grows very well at Motoa. Messrs H. Wickett & Co., the general drapers and clothiers of Palmerston, and who lately had a sale in this town, now '. announce to their many customers in this ' disirict that they have opened up their first shipments of spring and summer novelties. They claim to have the largest and finest * stock in Palmeiston, and io n.eet their trada have had lately to largely increase their premises.
