Essence of Parliament.
In committee on Thursday the Riverfcon Harbour Board Empowering Bill was practically shelved by a motion to report progress, The Patea Harbour Endowment Bill passed its final stages. The Kaitangata Belief Fund Transfer Bill, the Mount Ida Water-race Bill, the Hukarere Native Girls' School Bill and the Auckland Harbour Board Empowering Bill passed through committee and their final stages. Progress was reported on the Westland and Nelson Coalfields Administration Act, 1877, Amendment Bill, in committee.
The Industrial Conciliation Bill was, after discussion, passed through committee, and the Shops and Shop Assistants Bill passed its final stages The following Bills were intro duced and read the first time on Friday : — The Equitable Owners Act (1888) Amendment Bill and the Native Committees Act (1883) Amendment Bill.
The third reading of the Industrial Conciliation Bill was, after discussion, passed on the voices. The House then went into Committee of Supply.
