The annual report , ,and , balance , ., sheet, which showed £5 2s -Odin ' hand, were read and passed. On the motion of Mr CbwlesY seconded by Mr Cook, Bule .No. 11 was amended, the words " vice-Cap-tain " being added.

The Seoretary read some corres - pondence in connection with the N.Z. Amateur Rowing Association. On the motion of Mr J. B. JStansell, . seconded by Mr Cook, it was resolved to join the Association. The question of naming the hew boats was left with the committee. The opening *of the season will take place on Tuesday, the 6th September, by a procession of boats. The Foxton Band have been engaged for the afternoon, THIRD ANNUAL REPORT -OF THE MANAWATU ROWING CLUB. n Gentlemen, — : . ; ...... In submitting the third annual report your committee has much pleasure in congratulating you on the success of the Club generally. During the past year twenty-five new members were elected making a total of fortythree paying members. a pair of medals was given by the Club for a pair oared handicap race and a good number of entries.' ' ; Mr Hunters Cup was rowed i6ttwice during the ' season and each time brought out large fields Some good racing was; witnessed.'
