This Society is, without doubt, the -very best for a man to be insured in, as we have been shown cases where the bonus additions are in excess of the premiums paid, so that at the time the policy matures, the situi assured is practically a free gift. Nothing can beat this in insurance matters. At the close of the year the entire funds of the Sodiety, productive ftnd unproductive^ were invested to yield a rate df £0 19a Id per cent. The reversionary bonuses for the year exceed one million sterling, and the cash appropriation is £489,828. By the above it is evident that the Society" 3 business has been well managed, but it is pleasing to find, from the remarks made by Dr Grace, at the annual meeting, that in New Zealand the Society has been looked after, even bettelY Dr Grace said in New Zealand we have invested on Mortgage for the. last 21 years, and have now £878,117 sterling on that account; and we have never foreclosed upon a single security <j we have never lost a single shilling, and our interest revenue is. £82,000. To those who are thinking of insuring their lives, and all should, we confidently recommend their obtaining a table of rates, and asking also one of their friends to let them see a bonus certificate for the last year.
