News from Burmah states that the British troops are driving the rebel Kacchijiens from:. their intrenched positions in the neighbourhood of Sodon. Secretary Blame has abandoned the claims of the United States to sovereignty over Behring Saa, and only demands protection for the seals.
Mr Rose, of the National Marine Insurance Company, has been appointed one of the British Arbitrators in the hehring Sea dispute. , M Delyannis, Premier and Minister of War for Greece, refused to resign at the command of the King. M. Tricoupis, who was asked to form a new Ministry, has declined to undertake the task. Eighty-three members of the Chamber of Deputies, which consists of 150 representatives, have expressed confidence in M Delyannis. The crisis is causing intense excitement throughout the country. It is believed that M. Delyannis was dismissed because the Chamber of Deputies refused to impeach M, Tricoupis, the former Prime Minister, and also because his policy was likely to result in a financial crisis. M. Delyannis, being in possession of a large majority, refused to resign. There is great excitement in Athens, and mobs cheering both the ; King and the Minister. i
