.. The Russian Government is anxious to discuss the Pamir question with the representatives of Great Britain and * hina. The Novosti urges Russia to obtain a footing in Persia, in order to secure an outlet to India. In connection with the murder of a number of girls in Vienna in June last, a man has confessed to complicity in the outrage. A woman is now on her trial for being implicated in the murder. The Minister of Marine at Lisbon declares that the Government has decided to maintain the integrity of the Portuguese colonies.
