The Wellington Election.
There was a hard fought contest yesterday, and 6657 people reoorded their votes, which resulted in the majority being recorded for Mr McLean. The Eeturning Officer at half-past eight announced that Mr McLean had 3405 votes and Mr Bell 8252 votes, thus giving MiMcLean a majority of 158.
